        Challenge

For handling rims, a very large range of parts needed to be covered (13-22 inches) – including a reserve for future component sizes. In addition, the grippers needed to be designed with an optimal weight to keep the robot size and thus costs, as low as possible.
        Solution

The solution is based on a rugged GH6000 series long stroke gripper combined with a weight-optimized jaw set.
